iContact BPO has achieved Service Provider level 1 Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certification, effective 10 Dec 2021.

PCI DSS is an information security standard designed to improve controls around cardholder data to reduce payment card fraud. It is administered by PCI SSC (Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council), which was founded in 2006 by American Express, Discover, JCB International, MasterCard and Visa Inc. The standard applies to any organisation that stores, transmits or accepts cardholder data, or could affect the security of these processes, and aims to secure payment card information.

“PCI DSS certification is an important step for iContact BPO and is considered the best way to safeguard sensitive data and information of card holders, going a long way in building trust and credibility with our customers that their sensitive payment data is secure. PCI DSS-compliant security provides a valuable asset that informs customers that our business is safe to transact with, and that we take compliance and data security very seriously – and we have been independently validated. The investment in PCI DSS security procedures goes a long way toward ensuring that all aspects of commerce that we handle on behalf of our clients is safe from malicious threats,” explains Clinton Cohen, CEO of iContact BPO.

There are two levels of PCI DSS compliance which are determined by the number of transactions a service provider handles each year. iContact BPO has been certified against Service Provider Level 1.
